OHS BOOSTER CLUB
The Oxford High School Booster Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:45 p.m. in the commons area.

Congratulations!
Congratulations to our athletes Mark Sutton and Sarah White who qualified for the 100th State Track Meet to be held in Wichita on Friday May 28 and Saturday May 29th. Mark will be competing in the 3200 Meter Run. Sarah will be competing in both discus and shot put. If you see these athletes, make sure and congratulate them!
Spring Athletic Banquet
Wednesday, May 19th 6:30
The Spring Athletic Banquet was held in the Commons on Wednesday, May 19th. A record turnout filled the room and it was nearly standing room only with an estimated 160-170 in attendance! The bbq provided by Bob and Sue Whitlock was so good, and the covered dishes brought by the families were awesome! Trivia questions were provided by the coaches and those guessing the right answer were treated with their choice of a pop or m& m's. The power point of the kids in the various sports was made by Morgan Reynolds.
The sports recognized at this function were basketball, baseball, softball, track, and cheerleading.
New this year, the Scholarsbowl team joined us, and received their letters and awards from Kathy Sutton and Dixie Simpson.
The new officers elected for next year are: Jamie Chism president, Susan Runyan vice president, Michelle Chism secretary, and Sue Whitlock treasurer.
This was the final event for the Booster Club this year. Thank you again to everyone who donated their time, money or other items we needed for the various events and fundraisers during the year. We accomplished so many things, and the kids, coaches and staff have expressed their appreciation. It would have been very difficult if not impossible without you.
New Equipment for Coaches
The Booster Club voted at the last meeting to purchase new video recording equipment for the coaches to be able to record and duplicate game films. Straps will also be purchased to secure the pole vault mats.
Track Meet April 1st
Thank you to everyone who helped with the concession stand. It was our most successful fundraiser this year, and could not have been possible without your help.
Electronic Sign
The Booster Club is raising funds to purchase an electronic sign for the school to be placed on Highway 160 at the corner of Emerald Bank. Our fundraisers this year will be going toward this, with our goal for it to be in place before school starts next fall. If you would like to make a (tax deductable) donation to the Booster Club for this sign, please contact Tina White at 316-393-4774. Pictures and layout will be coming soon!
Sub-State
Sub-State at OHS went very well. Booster Club hosted the hospitality room for coaches, administration, and workers. A HUGE THANK YOU to all the Volunteers who helped by supporting us with your donations and time for both the hospitality room and our fundraisers we held during substate.
Hamburger Feed
On March 8th a Hamburger Feed was held for all athletes in spring sports. Due to the weather, it was held inside at the Commons. We had a nice crowd of kids who "hammered" through 80 hamburgers and extras in no time! Everyone also enjoyed a full double rainbow outside. Thank you to Jay and Tina White, Merle Swanson and Pat Emley who volunteered their time for this event.
