Those attending the Europe trip over spring break are preparing for the long trip on Friday to make their way to Paris and London. If anyone has questions, don't hesitate to e-mail or call Mrs. Browning. She has tried keeping everyone fully updated and sent several e-mails, especially most recently. Be sure to be checking your inbox!
A total of thirty-one people will be making the flight to Europe, thirteen of which are students of ninth to twelfth grades. Any students who feel bummed they miss out on this trip, don't fret! Another trip will be made in 2010 and anyone interested can let Mrs. Browning know in September. The students earn a half credit to their transcripts along with taking in cultures from other countries, and have learned a few French phrases they can use. A big thing that has been discussed is the cost of the American dollar compared to Euros and learning the currency.
Some of the sites these thirty-one travelers will visit include: the Louvre, Notre Dame, Arch De Triomphe, Versailles, Loure Valley, watch a play from the book Wicked, Big Ben, watch the Changing of the Guards, Tower of London, Stonehenge and Bath, Pere Lachaise (a cemetery), and Montmartre, along with some small side trips the students found interest in.
Safe travels Oxford!!
