It's a HIGH FIVE FRIDAY!! Softball and Baseball teams and coaches welcomed the Elementary students to the building this morning.
First grade minions led the GoFAR assembly this morning. Students were recognized for Being a Good Friend.
High School students are learning to make homemade poptarts.
Abreyan Walker competed in the State Solo Ensemble at Tabor College this weekend and received a 1 rating. To qualify, she had to receive a 1 at regionals and then she performed again! Abreyan is a Junior at Oxford High School. Congratulations, Abreyan!!!
Sixth grade students planted trees at Napawalla Park this morning with the Oxford City Crew. Thanks to the City for inviting us to help!

Free Developmental Screenings for Children Ages Birth through 5 will be held at Oxford Elementary Friday, May 16.
If your child, is age 3 years by Sept. 1 , they will be eligible to attend PreSchool with a developmental screening completed.

Today's high school track meet has been cancelled due to weather.
Congratulations to Oxford's team led by Shawn Burkes. They posed some tough competition in yesterday's Sun Powered Student Challenge, sponsored by Sumner Cowley Electric. The aim of the event is to teach high school students responsibility, teamwork, collaboration, and all things solar (sizing, placement, generation, stability, etc). The Wildcats landed first in presentations, placed third out of nine schools overall, and in their collaborative team with another school, they hit the highest voltage and amps overall. Way to go!!
Mrs Short"s Freshman Seminar class hosted storytime with the Kindergarten today. They read "A Dog Needs A Bone," colored doggie themed coloring pages, and had popcorn with their buddies!

You may have noticed USD 358 buses parked along Michigan and loading up students this afternoon.
In an effort to keep our school safe, what you were observing was the Elementary Students and Staff completing an Evacuation Crisis Drill.
Schools are required to complete four Fire Drills, two Tornado Drills, and three Crisis Drills each year. This Evacuation Drill will count as one of our Crisis Drills.
