OHS students were busy yesterday! 7 seniors attended Build My Future in Mulvane where they learned about hands-on apprenticeship opportunities that provide on-the-job training as an alternative to other postsecondary programs.

OHS 10th Graders attended Reality U at Wellington HS today. They had scenarios (married/single, kids/no kids, monthly salaries, expenses, surprise life situations) and had to find creative ways to budget their money. They had fun with this "adulting" experience!

Oxford Schools received a generous donation of handcrafted personal care packs from the Cowley County Area Retired School Personnel organization. The packs are available for any district student in need, and include shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrush. Once again, we are grateful for the generosity of community members.
Oxford fine arts juniors and seniors attended Cowley college last Thursday for a series of workshops and classes on art, music, and theatre, including painting, stage combat, conducting, and more.

On Wednesday, Robert Spoon, Matt Carlson, and Patrick Kopfer with the Oxford Fire Department stopped by to talk to students about fire safety. Thank you to our local firefighters for coming to talk to our grade school and Mrs. Adams for organizing the event.
